Therapy for Cancer Patients/Survivors and their Families

Receiving a cancer diagnosis is life-changing and often traumatic. People often feel a range of emotions including fear, sadness, anger, grief, confusion, isolation, loneliness, and uncertainty. Similarly, the diagnosis can also be traumatic and life-altering for the person’s partner and family members.

In our work together, I will support you individually, as a member of a couple, and/or your family, as you navigate the cancer experience. I offer compassionate therapy to help you to understand your experience including all your feelings, how to navigate and manage your life through diagnosis and potential surgery, treatment, recovery or navigating end of life. I also incorporate the spiritual aspects of the journey in our work, so common and important for people with this diagnosis.

Every individual, partner, couple, caregiver and family members going through a cancer journey has their own unique experience that needs to be deeply understood and integrated. Every person in this process needs to be treated with the utmost respect, dignity and compassion.

You can reach me at ecorsale@gmail.com or 415-267-6965 to schedule a time to talk in order to decide if therapy would be beneficial to you at this time.
